It was 2008, and I was enjoying a cheeky Nando’s on a Saturday afternoon with my girlfriend when I bumped into two of my comedy idols, Richard Ayoade and Chris Morris.
As they entered the restaurant, I froze with fear. My forehead began to sweat, but gathering my courage, I approached them and said, “Hi guys, I’m a big fan of your work,” my voice shaking. They were both incredibly friendly, and Chris’ son even took a photo of us together.
In hindsight, the arm I put around Richard might have been a bit much, but I was—and still am—a huge fan.
