I’m selling my soul on eBay

The World’s Greatest Artist: SLART’s Weekly art practice 45.

If you’re new here. What’s this all about, eh?

Well let me tell you… Every Saturday, I share my art practice over the past 7 days. I’m fascinated by artistic practice – it’s not just about creating art but the entire process. From influences and ideas to materials and skills, each artist’s unique approach shapes their work, making it more than a finished piece. Just imagine having a weekly update from your favourite living artist. How cool would that be?

If this masterpiece is too long for email, you can read it here in Substack. Or download the app.

I’m selling my soul on eBay.

“SLART you weirdo, you need your soul for your art”

That is true. But it’s only for fun, I don’t know why I listed it but it’s getting quite the attention, and it’s given me another promotional idea. Watch this space.

Memento vivere at the Crypt Gallery progress report

This week I could say I’ve done nothing but I’ve done a lot of thinking and reflecting.

I’ve had some realisations but I will have to share more about that next week. The title is a bit of a hint.

Art3f Brussels

My curator is with my precious paintings in Brussels this weekend. Pictured on the right hand side. Join me in manifesting their sale. Wow! 😯 They are now sold! WE DID IT!

Developing your creative practice

As promised, here’s the recording…

I still need to plan in some time to complete this as the deadline is mid December.

The New items on the SLART Etsy Store

I’ve added many more items, so go and see if there’s anything you’d like to buy slart.me/etsy

Go on… Right now.

It’s a learning curve for sure, I keep refining it as I go along, it’s an art in itself. Picking the right photos, descriptions, and size options, I can see why the idea of selling your art can stop you in your tracks from taking any action! But we must persist.

As I’m writing this, something came to mind. Now the store is set up, if I ask one person to buy an art print every day, and say only 5% of people do buy, that would be roughly 18 sales per year. This sounds too simple to be true right? …but it is somewhat of a game of numbers. Once your art is ready to sell, sell it. I am giving myself my own advice here, as I am yet to sell anything. But you never know, you could be the first buyer!

I’ve made some fun content for YouTube

I’ve created an audio about my favourite artist, Jean Dubuffet about our similarities.

I’m so happy no one saw this one

I literally spent 5 minutes making this because I thought it would be funny. It’s a little story about a bromance between two Substack legends—you’ve probably heard of them: and .

Let’s be honest, I thought it was funny and expected others to think the same, share it and then I’d get more people looking at my Substack, but no one saw it! Oh well!

That’s all for now.

Best wishes and deep blessings,

Have the best week!

SLART.
