May, it be a great month.
This post may be too long for email, you can read the entire post here on Substack or download the wonderful app.
I have been doing a retrospective since October 2023 as a way to reflect on the month, and for you to get insight into my life in a calmer, gentler way than looking at reels of me walking the dog, or of every meal I’ve eaten posted on Instagram. It’s a self-contained retrospective so you don’t get distracted on social media. It’s also somewhat of a diary for me, so I can look back and laugh in the future. I thought it might be interesting to a reader to hear about an artist’s life, as I would have loved to hear more about what Louise Bourgeois got up to day-to-day, the meals she ate and the mundane things she did.
May has been a little blurry, but I have had some great painting sessions and a mini break.
Let’s go…

I posted an interview I had with Steve G Jones back in 2013, you know what? I posted it unedited with my awkwardness left in. Enjoy!

Interesting fact though: Our head chef Joe Croan was trained under Marco Pierre-White.

I got a double fine for Dartford Crossing, I was sure that I paid it in advance. The funny thing is that the toll is £2.50 each way, no I owe them £215. Madness. Also, they reply with the email ENFORCEMENT.CUSTOMER.SERVICE@pay-dartford-crossing-fine.service.gov.uk how aggressive! These government services are supposed to SERVE us but it often doesn’t feel like that. I still bless them and send my love.
Serious selfie.

A bit of AI humour today, a whole new generation of Dad jokes coming…
I saw a bit of endearing art on the wall of a pasty establishment.

This stood out today:
The more I look into Jung, he’s not the stuffy stereotypical psychotherapist you might think he appears to be. He’s deep.

Glen Pudvine, what an inspiration (initially frustration).

I thought it was cute that the wonderful saw my note from a couple of months ago. I love how you put things out there in the world, and you never know who, when or how people will see it. Be open to magic and miracles, just keep on creating and sharing.
Also, I saw Ricky Gervais in a Scooby Doo Episode. How cool is that?
I hope you’ve had a wonderful May too.
Love to you all,
P.S. Please share for positive karma.
