📌 NEW HERE? WHAT’S THIS WEEKLY ART PRACTICE ALL ABOUT?

Every Saturday, I share my weekly art practice journey. I’m captivated by the whole process – not just the finished pieces, but everything from influences to materials. It’s like getting a behind-the-scenes peek at an artist’s world.

Welcome! Quick poll… (There’s reasoning behind it!)

💡 SLART | INSIGHT OF THE WEEK

“When the student is ready, the master appears”

⏳ MEMENTO VIVERE ART EXHIBITION UPDATE (September 2025)

This week, I’ve working on a few promo plans, and getting media contacts ready, and I’ve bought the domain name to sign up for the event. I’ll reveal all when the reg page is live!

I went to see Matt Berry at Rough Trade in Bristol today. My original plan was to invite him to my exhibition because he seems like a cool guy. The idea was to hand him a flyer with a little note.

When I started writing the note, though, it came out looking a bit awkward, almost creepy.

The front looks cool, it was just my bumbling message on the back. My mate said it looked like I wrote “Je Suis Private Parts!”

I had to improvise because I only had one scruffily printed and folded A4 flyer. Luckily, there was a photo booth in the record shop. I stepped inside, held up the flyer, and took four photos of myself holding it, which were printed onto a glossy postcard. On the back, I wrote down the time, date, and venue details.

So it ended up looking like a cool custom artwork that I made on the fly. I pulled it off 😂

📢 WHAT’S NEW WITH SLART?

Search Engine Optimisation: I won’t bore you, but it looks like loads more (3.75k) people are seeing my SLART site results appear on Google. It’s nice to see these improvements. I haven’t had time to build upon this, but like I said before, when you know where you are, you can improve.

Zine Mania: Part 2: The thread that started it all of…

I’ve launched the Zine project, and as of the time of writing, we have 71 creators signed up for the Global Creative Colab! Read more here…

(There’s still space, sign up if you fancy it, anyone is welcome, you don’t have to prove yourself, you just need to show up!)
